Modernization of production facilities, which is a priority in view of higher environmental standards and stricter requirements to environmental safety, is carried out in the following main areas:
Dust emission during material production and waste storage worsens the sanitary condition of large areas of the adjacent territory. According to the operation norms it must be ensured to prevent particles from polluting the air basin and the surrounding area, for which purpose dust prevention measures must be implemented at each enterprise. There are several types of dust control measures and their effectiveness depends on the type and condition of the site.
Dust control measures usually include periodic sprinkling, application of special chemicals to stabilize and consolidate the top layer, mulching, reclamation and installation of windbreaks.
